Machine Operator - Frame Cell CNC

• Tyco Valves & Controls is the world's largest manufacturer of industrial valves and controls products. Its companies manufacture fully integrated lines of superior quality products for every market it serves, including the mining, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, power, and oil field industries.
• We are looking for a Machine Operator for the Frame Cell. This position will report to the Leadperson and the Manufacturing Manager in our Reno, NV manufacturing facility.

Organization And Position Summary:

• The primary responsibility of the Machine Operator is to operate a CNC milling center, band saw, grinder, and belt sander.

Major Responsibilities:
Machine Operation

• Ability to set-up and operate a CNC milling center using setup instructions and knowledge of machining processes.

Cut-Off

• Ability to set-up and operate a band saw using a component blueprint.
• Identify critical machined surfaces and handle components with proper care to prevent damage.
• Ability to correctly read and follow established work instructions.
• Basic understanding of our MRP system, and the ability to read and follow process flow as outlined in our Work Order System.

Deburr

• Identify critical machined surfaces and handle components with proper care to prevent damage.
• Ability to correctly read and follow established work instructions.
• Ability to use pencil grinder, angle grinder, and belt sander.

Qualifications

• Must work well in a team environment and contribute to the overall success of the lean cell.
• Must flex to other areas of the frame cell including cut off and deburring.
• Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures
• Ability to document edits and program changes on CNC equipment.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in a timely manner required.
• Regularly required to walk or stand.
• Occasionally is required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Experience in uploading, downloading, and detailed editing of programs preferred.
• Must have familiarity with computers and data entry.
