Shift Manager - Agglomerator Operations
Job Description
- [Company] Operations includes two iron ore mines in Northern MN (Minntac in Mt. Iron and Keetac in Keewatin) and has the following vacancy at the Minntac facility:
Plant Operations/Shift Manager:
- This position reports directly to the Area Manager of Agglomerator Operations. The responsibilities of Shift Manager include, but are not limited to, overseeing the shift operating crews in the Agglomerator. This position is also responsible for administering the [Company] Safety program to ensure a safe work environment within the assigned facility.
Requirements:
- The position requires a Bachelor's, technical degree, or equivalent education and experience. Also, requires two or more years of supervisory experience.
- The preferred candidate will be knowledgeable in taconite mining, concentrating, and pelletizing operations as well as have a maintenance/mechanical background in mining or a related industrial field. The successful candidate must be independent and have the ability to make sound operating and mechanical decisions with little input from other managers.
- All successful candidates are subject to background checks, pre-employment physical examinations, and drug and alcohol screening.
