Due to mine expansion there has been vacancies created at an underground coal mine in Central Queensland. A new longwall installation with a world renowned mining company has led to excellent opportunities for qualified Deputies / ERZ Controllers.


There are multiple vacancies available at the moment both on the longwall and in development panels. As a Mine Deputy you will be reporting to a Superintendent (Longwall or Development) and will be responsible for ensuring a safe and efficient working environment at all times. You will be supervising production / development shift crews and undertaking daily safety inspections as well as compiling daily reports.  To be considered you will require previous experience in a similar role coupled with tertiary qualifications. 


You will have the choice of camp accommodation and commuting from the coast or alternatively you have the option of living in a modern town and enjoying subsidised housing. The well serviced town is great for families and single professionals alike. If you choose to commute from the coast you will enjoy the Great Barrier Reef coastline on your time off. An attractive salary package is available for the successful applicant.  Remuneration will include base salary, superannuation, allowances and a performance based bonus.


In addition to the above you will also have the opportunity to progress your career to Superintendent level positions within the organisation. The company operates multiple underground mines and is also developing more in the region. There is real opportunity to grow with the company.
