Mechanic

• Four Corners Materials , an Oldcastle Materials company in Northwestern New Mexico, is offering an employment opportunity for an experienced Shop Mechanic in the Farmington area.  A shop mechanic is responsible for inspecting, analyzing, diagnosing malfunctions, dismantling, reassembling, repairing, rebuilding and maintaining construction equipment, including but not limited to, Dump Trucks, Mixer Trucks, Loaders, Dozers, Rollers, Skidsteers, Trucks, and Trailers.  You will primarily work 40 hours a week.  You will also need to be available for overtime when needed.

Essential Job Functions

• Safety and efficiently repair heavy equipment of various sizes and weights
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.  Report all problems to the Foreman or Superintendent.
• Repair malfunctioning equipment, replace parts as necessary, order parts and maintain appropriate records.  Must be able to complete work orders accurately and timely.
• Must be able to weld.
• Operate various pieces of heavy equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by Foreman or Management.

Job Requirements

• Must pass a drug screen, criminal background check, and a physical testing prior to employment.
• Must have a CDL Class B drivers license.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years experience troubleshooting and repairing of construction equipment.
• Must provide your own tools.
• Must have Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Computer knowledge.
• Must have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
