Rig Manager

Co is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Rig Manager to join our award winning team. Easternwell Energy provides latest technology rigs to offer contractors services to the Australian oil and gas, coal seam methane, geothermal and carbon sequestration industries. 
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the position will be to manage and oversee rig operation and 
liaise between company management, field operations and client representatives.

Key tasks of the position are:    
• Ensure that work is scheduled and carried out to company, client and legislative 
requirements.  
• Report to management of incidents relating to HSE. 
• Manage and facilitate site specific inductions, pre-tour, toolbox and weekly safety meetings.  
• Support the Human Resource Department with staffing issues as related to field operations.  
• Manage and ensure hitch assessments are conducted and reviewed with all rig crew  
• To participate in and assist with the training and development of rig staff  
• Provide leadership and training to drillers  
• Manage the acquisition of equipment, parts, logistical requirements 
• Manage all purchasing requirements through the company material request process. 
• Manage stock on hand to ensure adequate support for operations 
• Manage rig maintenance as scheduled  
• Ensure that tour & IADC reports are submitted on a daily basis.  
• Communicate to client representatives on issues relating to well site activities 
• Provide accurate and efficient administrative services utilising various software packages  
• Comply with all company and client policy and procedures including adherence to all HSE 
requirements and ensure that these are
