Chef

Co is currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic Chefs to join our award winning team. Co is a Toowoomba based privately owned Australian company committed to providing professional catering and housekeeping operations to the onshore oil and gas industry.  

Currently co has in place long term contracts with major energy producers within 
Australia. “We aim to offer new employees a long term and sustainable career in the catering industry”. 
This role is a field based opportunity. Applicants must be eligible to work permanently in Australia. 
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the position will be to work as a Chef on our remote area operations. 

Key tasks of the position are: 
• Ensure that work is scheduled, planned and carried out to company, client and legislative 
requirement.  
• Ensure that catering equipment is maintained to manufacturers’ specifications.  
• Support the Human Resources functions of operations with staffing issues as it relates to field 
operations.  
• Report to management and Camp Manager of incidents relating occupational health and safety and 
or food safety, health and well being and nutrition. 
• Communicate to Operation Manager, Field Support, Head Chef or Camp Manager on issues relating 
to catering activities and functions.  
• Comply with company and client policy and procedures including adherence to all workplace health 
and safety requirements as per Safety Management Plans. 
• Direct and assist new catering staff with induction to the camp 
Required skills, experience and knowledge: 
• Qualified in Commercial Cookery Certificate III High level verbal and written communication skills  
• Strong interpersonal and relational skills 
• Proven ability to perform mathematical concepts such as catering formulas, portion control, ratios, 
fractions and processes. • Proven ability to meet deadlines as required by management on a daily operation basis.  
• Demonstrate ability to read, analyse, and interpret equipment manuals, culinary instructions, and 
procedures related to the camp and its isolation operations. 
• You must follow personal hygiene requirements to Eastern Camp Management standards.
