Workplace Trainer & Assessor – Field Based (Coal Business Unit, QLD)

Co is Australia's leading integrated energy and mineral services company. We operate continuous 
contracts with some of Australia's largest companies. 

Co is currently seeking accomplished Workplace Trainers & Assessors to provide high level training and assessment services to support our company’s drilling rig operations in Emerald QLD. This is a field based position and will report directly to the RTOs Training Manager based in Toowoomba.   

Applicant for this position should be a highly skilled trainers and assessors with qualifications and experience in 
the following areas:  
• Drilling Operations including; dual rotary, conventional  
• Occupational Health & Safety 
Responsibilities of the position would include but not be limited to the following: 
• Manage delivery and assessment schedule to ensure maximum coverage  
• Undertake accredited and non-accredited training and assessment  
• Implement delivery and assessment strategies to meet client needs 
• Organise and manage training resources to ensure safety and quality standards are maintained  
• Apply continuous improvement to delivery and assessment as directed 
• Complete professional development activities in accordance with AQTF 
Essential skills, experience, and qualifications for this position include: 
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE) 
• Certificate IV in Drilling Operations (diploma level is highly regarded)  
• Must be able to demonstrate recent and relevant vocational competence in the vocational areas being 
training and assessed.  
• Current C Class manual licence   
• Advanced knowledge of safety practices as applied to the above drilling environment 
• Well developed analytical, conceptual, interpersonal and communication skills  
• Knowledge and understanding of AQTF, AQF, and legislative standards specific to RTO operations and 
industry 
• Highly develop Microsoft Office Suite skills    
                     
The successful applicant will be a highly motivated self starter with the ability to communicate effectively 
with field based employees, company administration and clients.  

In addition, you must be adaptable to change and display a willingness to work a 2 x 2 fly in fly out hitch 
based roster.
