Yard Foreman

Position Summary:

• Oversees a section of the Yard crew as the team leader. Responsible for maintaining duties as a laborer; including but are not limited to: moves concrete forms and finish products through the plant , operate forklifts and cranes, strips and cleans concrete forms, reassembles forms and puts together special forms, and ensures a safe working environment, good housekeeping, and adherence to safety regulations are maintained in their section of the shop floor.

Qualifications (Education/Experience) and Required Skills:

• Minimum 3 year of experience as a plant laborer or equivalent
• Capable of passing required physical examination
• Able to speak, read, and comprehend basic English
• Knowledge of how to read and interpret shop/engineering drawings
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Needs to have strong leadership abilities
• Knowledge of basic tools and their uses
• Understand and apply basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, & multiplication)
• Knowledge of basic measurements and how to read a tape measure
• Experience managing a crew
• Must have working knowledge of concrete construction
• Good attendance and positive attitude a must
