Details
• Experienced geotechnical engineer to assist with management of the geotechnical team.
• Excellent interpretative reporting and geotechnical design skills (e.g. shallow foundations, piles, retaining walls).
• Duties will include interpretative reporting, foundation design and slope stability assessments, design and management of ground investigations, preparation of bids and project costings.
• Responsibilities will also include training and support of more junior team members, project management and liaison with clients (both externally and internally from other sectors/offices).
• Willingness to work both in the north and further afield.
• Projects include rail, highways, infrastructure and development with clients including developers, major contractors, the Highways Agency, major infrastructure suppliers, Network Rail and London Underground.
Qualifications
• Degree in engineering geology, civil engineering or similar.
• Post graduate degree (MSc/MEng) in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, soil mechanics, foundation engineering etc.
• Minimum 8-10 years relevant post-graduate experience
• Professional membership of relevant body (CEng / CGeol).
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Clean UK driving licence.
• CSCS card and PTS an advantage
• UK experience is required
