Project Superintendent (Southern Maine)

Job Description Summary

  • We are seeking a qualified, safety-minded, motivated, high energy individual to oversee, schedule, and direct all facets of a road construction project working mostly in the southern part of Maine. The right candidate should have at least five years prior road construction experience, predominantly in milling and paving, a strong understanding of grades/drainage, strong math skills, and the ability to work effectively in a high pressure, multi-tasking environment.  The selected candidate must take pride in a job well done, be able to manage administrative duties in a timely manner and be able to work independently.  The selected candidate must be willing to travel throughout the company.  This position requires long hours, overtime and night and weekend work throughout the season.  The selected individual must display a courteous and professional attitude when dealing with co-workers and the public.  A valid Driver’s License and the willingness to travel throughout Maine, New Hampshire and possibly Vermont are essential for this position.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a strong understanding of grades/drainage
  • Strong math skills and
  • Have the ability to work effectively in a high pressure, multi-tasking environment

Preferences

  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred

Education/Experience

  • Prior road construction and paving experience is essential
