Crusher Operator

Summary

• The Crusher Control Operator is responsible for operating a control panel to crush various types and sizes of aggregate.  Primarily work 8-10-hours per day, 4-5 days per week.  Will also be required to work up to 14-hours per day, and up to 7 days per week as needed during the busy construction season.  This position requires traveling for extended periods of time to perform the job duties at various jobsite locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operates crusher machinery by operating computerized control panel.  Works inside enclosed booth to oversee and look down upon the machinery and crushing process. Troubleshoots and communicates problems with ground crew.
• Assists with machine maintenance and repairs.  Unplugs and shovels off conveyors and screens.  Changes out screens, rollers, cone liners, etc.  Repairs conveyor problems.  Greases moving machine parts.
• Performs crusher machinery set up and take down which includes running cables and hoses, setting up blocks, tarping, shoveling, assembling/disassembling machinery, etc.
• May operate heavy equipment/skidsteer to move parts and materials, if trained.
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.
