This leading international gold miner is seeking a talented Mining Engineer to take on an open pit Senior Production role. This position offers unparalleled prospects for career development, with the right candidate having the opportunity to progress rapidly to Mine Manager level.
In this role you will work as part of the senior operational team and report directly to the Mine Manager. You will oversee the mine design and production activities, and there will also be a key focus on the development and mentoring of the engineering team.
Specific duties will include managing short-medium term mine planning processes, reviewing and monitoring production schedules and daily production activities, ensuring production targets are achieved and reporting accordingly and undertaking ongoing business reviews and project implementation as required.
Requirements:
• This exciting and challenging role requires you to possess a tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering and proven experience in a production role in an open pit mining environment.
• You will have exposure to leading and mentoring an engineering team and will be comfortable with the scheduling and planning demands of an open pit operation, including the relevant software knowledge.
• You will hold a WA Quarry Manager’s Certificate of Competency and be ready to take on the leadership responsibilities that come with this.
