This Kalgoorlie-based miner is seeking an experienced Mine Planning Engineer to join their team and provide expert input to the Life of Mine (LOM) plans. They are a strong producer of gold in WA and have a positive reputation in the market as a great place to work and as a company who look after their employees. You can be part of their operation and drive Mine Planning excellence. 

You will develop and maintain the LOM plan and ensure all other plans are executed effectively in accordance with this. Your duties will include pit optimisation, expenditure modelling and strategic input into short and medium term plans. You will also provide expert input on the viability of any possible long term projects and engage in the mentoring of junior engineers. 

You will possess a tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering as well as extensive Mine Planning experience in an open pit mining environment. You will have sound knowledge of relevant planning and scheduling software and excellent analytical and organisational skills.
