Mechanical Fitter

Our client is a family owned company who supply, manufacture, hire and service crushing and screening equipment for the mining industry.   They are currently seeking an experiences Mechanical Fitter to join their Field Service team.

This particular position will see you based at the Narangba workshop but will see you travelling interstate to complete various repairs and maintenance.  Your main role will include:

Assist with breakdowns, repairs and maintenance on crushing and screening equipment - both in the field and in the workshop

• Routine servicing of equipment
• Auto Electric trouble shooting
• Customer training on basic maintenance and operating of machines

The ideal applicant will have the following:

• Trade certificate as a Mechanical Fitter
• Intermediate hydraulic skills
• Auto electric experience -  12/24 volt circuits
• Ability to work autonomously
• Able to travel interstate

Previous experience working on similar mining equipment or earth moving equipment would be preferred
The hours for the yard are generally 7am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 7am to 3pm on Friday.  When breakdown work and unscheduled maintenance is required there will be overtime available.

Whilst working in the field the hours can can increase heavily, you may find yourself away for a period of 1 day to one week depending on the requirements. All travel expenses for accommodation and food are covered while away on site jobs.
