Senior Mining Engineer

Our client is a leader within the mining and processing resource industry, and the opportunity has now come for the correct individual to secure their long-term future working on high profile projects. Reporting to the Technical Mine Manager, this position will play a crucial role in ensuring that the maintenance and planning schedule maintains at a high level.

The key accountability of this role is:
Production Planning & Scheduling.   Increase the reliability of the Plant and minimize downtime. Adhering to and monitoring of QA practices – ISO9001. Procurement of goods and services. Management of inventory.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Minimum five years experience. Excellent skills in mine planning software i.e. Vulcan, XPAC, 3dDig. Experience in forecasting, demand planning, scheduling, and economic order quantities. Ability to generate KPI reports. Substantial mine fixed plant shutdown, preventative and reactive maintenance experience.
