UG Health and Safety Officer

This dynamic owner operator is a well recognised miner with an underground operation. They are currently looking for experienced underground professionals to maintain and develop their safety policies and procedures for their underground operation. Due to the growth within the department an opportunity for an experience Occupational Health and Safety Officer has arisen.


Your role as an OHS Officer will see you creating safety procedures for the operation based on your legislative knowledge and your experience with safety guidelines, codes and standards.  You will be required to perform inspections and audits as required, conduct training and safety development programs for staff and contractors. You will report into the Safety Manager whom will guide and mentor you through your role and career.


You will hold a Cert IV in Occupational Health & Safety or higher. You will have previous underground and safety advisory experience on an operational mine. Cert IV in TAE or TAA is desirable but not essential.
