Principal Underground Mining Engineer

Our client is an international and leading mining consulting engineering firm, focusing solely on the minerals sector. They are looking at expanding their Vancouver team, by adding a Principal Underground Mining Engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Mine planning and operations for underground mining.
• Carry out project management and feasibility studies
• Due diligence
• Report writing
• Communicate with a variety of stakeholders including senior management, technical professionals and operational personnel.

Requirements:

• A degree in Mining Engineering and 15 years experience relevant to the responsibilities listed above.
• P. Eng status or eligible
• Knowledge of mining software but not necessarily a hands-on user.
• Strong technical, leadership and problem solving skills.
• Good interpersonal, communication and report writing skills.
