One of Queensland’s most rapidly growing geological consultancies requires an experienced Senior Coal Exploration Geologist for an immediate start. 


For the right candidate this role offers great career advancement, and would have you sharing the role of ‘Program Manager’ on site for one of the world’s largest mining houses. Reporting in directly to the company’s Project Manager you will be a strong leader and the most senior person on site.
 
Key responsibilities will include the coordination of all the site activities and various personnel/contractors associated with site preparation and clearing, drilling, geophysical logging and all the associated geological functions.
 
This role will have you directly managing the less experienced geologists responsible for the actual Rigg work and logging. You will be daily monitoring and observing the work of the less experienced Rigg Geo’s, ensuring QA/QC and confirming that everything is recorded and reported correctly. Your strong ‘hands on’ previous Rigg geology experience will be key to your success, along with your ability to be a team player, demonstrated leadership capability and the experience to make decisions when needed. 


To be successful in this role you will have 8+ yrs of relevant exploration experience, at least 5 years experience working on coal/coal-related projects and be highly competent with the use of acQuire software.
