Brisbane 
Great Opportunity to lead a project team, preparing tender bids, and ultimately planning for the delivery of major rail infrastructure projects. Utilising your previous experience in Permanent Way your scope of work will range from concept studies through to the detail design where your ability to provide technical expertise will be balanced by your ability to manage the financial aspects of your projects. Above all you will value safety and demonstrate this through your projects and team culture.


The successful candidate will have skills / experience in the following:


•Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering 
•CPEng / RPEQ
•Operation knowledge of heavy haul railways
•Competence in rail related software - Bentley Rail Track (Inrail), 12d, Microstation V8, MX Rail
•Microsoft Office Suite
Key Responsibilities in the role include


•Ensure safety in design, value for money, constructability, and maintainability meets regulatory, industry and client requirements.
•Leading and mentor design teams ensuring that design and drafting is carried out to scope, schedule and budget
•Review of tender documents, preparation of proposals, schedules and estimates Working with the Engineering & Design Managers, and make recommendations as it relates to track and civil issues across multiple projects/ projects of work
•Promoting technical excellence including monitoring and assessing technical trends and developments in the industry, recommend and implement improvements in engineering practices
Ultimately to be successful in this position, you will be a professionally qualified Engineer, with solid experience in track and civil design verification and technical skills. You will have high level conceptual and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to analyse complex issues and develop collaborative working relationships.


As this is a senior level position, proven experience and the ability to lead and influence the performance of team members is paramount.
