WHAT AN OPPORTUNITY!! A key member of the leadership team in tender and bid delivery. Along with hands on estimating, you will lead, mentor and develop a team of estimators.
You will be responsible for:
•"Hands On" estimating management of major infrastructure projects (within the rail industry); $50m - $! billion dollars!
•Overall responsibility for the delivery of estimates, including preparation, structuring, reviewing, reporting, handover and signoff
•Development of the estimating plan
•Professional Development of the Estimating Team including selective recruitment, coaching and mentoring.
•Management of key consultants and contracting estimating and design specialists
•Driving innovative solutions and new technologies
•Leading the estimate review and reporting processes for tenders and bid proposals
•Assisting the New Business Manager in securing new business.
Required Experience:
•10 years+ Estimating experience of major civil / infrastruture rail projects
•Previous experience as Estimating Manager
•Previously mentored and developed a team
•Proven track record
•First tier contractor experienced
•Tendered for construction and maintenace Contracts
•Heavy Haul orientated
•Worked/won significant value projects ($50+)
You must be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of estimating in resourced based estimating software, knowledge of First Principles Estimating, ability to undertake benchmarking and rational analysis of bids and have significant experience on a diverse range of Civil / Rail engineering projects.
