Leading Australian mining operator with world class operations across Australia. This operation is one of the largest open cut mining sites in Australia. This site utilises dragline, truck and shovel and supplies international markets with up to 11 million tonnes per annum of thermal semi-soft coaking coal per annum. Expansions will see production increase to 14Mt pa by 2013.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Dragline, Drill & Blast Supervisor to join the team at this open cut site. You will ensure the efficient coordination and supervision of the dragline, drill and blast team and ensure the weekly mine plan is followed. You will ensure the team follows the sites Health, Safety and Environmental Systems, contribute to improving the sites mining methods and lowering costs. Following the weekly, monthly and annual operating plans is essential. You will also monitor budgets by controlling the team’s expenditure.
To be considered for this role you will have supervisory experience in an open cut mining environment (coal preferred). You will have strong leadership and supervisory skills and be able to communicate efficiently and effectively. An OCE qualification will be highly regarded.
