Industrial Relations Manager

This specialist engineering and construction contractor provides world class services to some of Australia’s largest commercial, industrial, public and mining, oil & gas companies. They currently have several major projects under way and will provide you with long term career opportunities.

Our client has an immediate requirement for  INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS/ER MANAGER to work on site on a FIFO roster to Chinchilla.  Here is your chance to work for an industry leader and enter the booming Oil & Gas industry.  Previous experience within the Resources Industry either Mining, Construction or Oil & Gas is essential.  

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaising with employees and trade unions.
  • Involved in implementing IR and ER strategies across the scope of HR on site
  • Support the leadership team by giving effective advice and guidance on issues relating to recruitment, induction, training and development and performance management by using your knowledge and experience in the mining/construction environment.
The following experience/skills are required for this position
  • Self-starter who demonstrates great initiative.
  • Possess proven negotiation skills
  • Experience liaising and negotiating with trade unions in a mining or construction environment.
  • Understanding of working with employees at all levels and possess thorough knowledge of current HR and IR legislation.
