About our Client
Established globally as a leader in its chosen commodity, this company is involved in a new operation which is set to go in to production in the early stages of 2012. With a long life of mine and high grade deposit, this large scale open pit mine presents a great opportunity and will be prevalent in propelling this company to reach new heights. Due the growth associated with this new development, the company is searching for a Senior Mining Engineer to specialise in production activity.

Job Description
  • Reporting to the Mining Manager, the key responsibilities of this role will include;
  • Short term schedules and mine plans to ensure production targets are consistently met
  • Production reporting and analysis
  • Assisting, supervising and providing direction to the mining production team
  • Assisting with the development and preparation of long term plans
The Successful Applicant
To be successful for the Senior Mining Engineer role, you will ideally possess;
Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering
  • A minimum of 4 years experience as a Mining Engineer
  • Significant levels of experience in open pit hard rock mining
  • Familiarity with Australian mining standards and relevant mining softwares
