Top Tier Mining Owner Operator of open cut coal operation produces a high quality coking coal using a dragline truck and shovel method.

Reporting to the GM. The Manager of Health, Safety, Environment & Community (HSEC) you are responsible for the leadership and coordination of the 40+ HSEC team in relation to the total mining operation. 

Role:
  • Ensure the operation meets its business, statutory and social obligations. 
  • Actively contribute to management initiatives 
  • Develop the HSEC plan including commercial expenditure forecast, implement HSEC Systems 
  • Aim to deliver a year on year reduction in All Injury Frequency Rate (AIFR) 
  • Introduce new community engagement initiatives and cultural heritage programs 
Responsibilities: 
  • Training and guiding the HSEC team 
  • Accountability for the site Emergency Response Team 
  • Facilitate group discussions 
  • Implement and maintain the HSEC management system 
  • Continually improve the business performance in the areas of HSEC 
Qualifications:
  • Qualifications in HSE 
  • TAE | G2, G3 (Not essential)  
  • Equal to 10+ years Australian Mining  industry experience 
  • Experience in a similar role 
  • Auditing experience 
  • Communication skills, Coaching, mentoring and developing staff 
Leading salary + Super + Bonus + travel allowance + vehicle
