Geotechnical Engineer - Bowen Basin

We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join this current underground mining project in the Bowen Basin region. In this position you will report to the Technical Services Manager and be responsible for ensuring underground strata control. The essential position requirements include: A Bachelor of Engineering (Geotechnical or Geology) 3+ years proven geotechnical experience in the underground mining/resources sector; Proven experience using geological modelling software (MINEX, Vulcan, AutoCad etc); Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with varying levels of management and external stakeholders; Strong negotiation, consultation and facilitation skills; Ability to work in a fast paced environment; A commitment to workplace health and safety; Superior analytical, organisational and reporting skills; Motivation, energy and a commitment to your profession.
