Senior Exploration Geologist

This company has an exciting portfolio of exploration projects in the Pilbara and have a drilling programme scheduled to commence in January 2012 at one of their more advanced sites. Working within a small and providing a lead role on site, you will be responsible for the drilling programme.


As a Senior Exploration Geologist your main responsibilities will include supervising the RC rig, managing the drilling contractors, logging RC chips, mapping, sampling and camp logistics. You will also provide support and mentorship to the junior geologist and field assistants. 


You will bring a tertiary qualification in Geology and a minimum of 5 years experience in a field based role. Working on a 2:1 roste, previous knowledge of iron ore and remote camp environments is desirable. 


This company can offer you an initial 6 month contract and a permanent role may be offered at the completion of the drilling programme. An industry leading day rate will be offered depending on your experience.
