Lead Environmental Scientist

Our client provides a range of specialist professional engineering and environmental management services to a wide range of private and government clients. Due to the continuing success of the company, a new role is now available for a Senior Environmental Scientist . You have the option of being based in Townsville or Cairns. In this role you will work across a variety of mining, resources and infrastructure projects to identify viable, practical and sustainable environment management solutions. You will also provide input and support for environmental permits and approvals. Using your strong technial and leadership skills, you will support your team to ensure projects are delivered on time and in accordance with client expectations. Essential Position Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in Ecology or Environmental Science; 8-10 years proven consultancy experience working on civil infrastructure, mining, resources, government and defence projects at a senior level; Exceptional client relations skills with the ability to develop and foster long term client relationships; Key contacts and ability to develop new client relationship and business; Superior communication, interpersonal skills and time management skills; Strong problem solving and attention to detail; Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship. We are seeking a passionate and focused Leader who is has a proven track record in the industry along with key contacts. This is a highly rewarding and autonomous position offering you the opportunity to make your mark in this organisation.
