Specialist Environmental

A mining company is looking to fill a position of an Environmental Specialist who is qualified and has extensive environmental management knowledge.

Qualifications and experience that are essential:

  • Degree in Environmental/Conservation Management
  • Environmental Auditors Certificate.
  • ISO 14000 certificate.
  • Up to 5 years operational Mining Environment Management.
  • Up to 3 years operational ISO 14000 management.
  • Code 08 drivers licence.

The following qualifications and experience would be advantageous:

  • Knowledge of MPRDA
  • Knowledge of mine health and safety act.
  • Knowledge of NEMA
  • Knowledge of NEMAWA

Main responsibilities will be:

  • Dust fall-out (air quality)management
  • Waste management
  • Bio-diversity management
  • Environmental inspections
  • Water quality management
  • People management
  • SHREQ
