A position for a Sales Engineer has became vacant for an international client.

Minimum Requirements

  • State formal education level, work experience, & specialization required.
  • State additional professional, technical, skills or knowledge required.
  • Education: BS in Engineering
  • Experience: Minimum five years engineered pumps experience
  • Other Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
  • Team player; Outside sales minded.
  • Highly organized; Good communications skills; Takes initiative; Results oriented; Negotiations skills;
  • Knowledge of commercial terms & conditions
  • Ability to prepare pumps and parts proposals to customers.
  • Competencies/Traits: List demonstrated traits of successful performers.
  • Display a high degree of independence.
  • Good technical knowledge of the process industry and API pumps.
  • Requires little management guidance to meet objectives.

Job Specification

PURPOSE OF POSITION

  • Support and grow existing business and customers for IP in the Sub-Saharan Region.
  • Develop business at key accounts and support global effort with Strategic Account customers.
  • Personally drive customer intimacy and satisfaction.
  • Seek and develop new market segments and target customers.
  • Support the business in resolving and negotiating issues with commercial terms and conditions, project communication, payment collections and customer issues, both internally and externally.
  • Focus on Industrial Process business (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Mining...)
  • Insure Company Corporate code of conduct compliance.
  • Achieve a booking target consisting of pumps and spare parts.
  • Keep IP Management up to date on opportunities and risks in the Region.
  • Identify and strengthen relationship with key customers
  • Support Distributors in key areas / markets.
  • Be a champion of the organisation with the customer and be a Champion of the Customer within the organisation.
  • Communicate routinely and effectively with all important customers.
  • Develop business at key accounts and support Strategic Accounts.
  • Insure customers are aware of all applicable IP operations: US, Korea, India, Saudi.
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts and support successful closure.
  • Conduct customer presentations at least 4 times annually.
  • Implement and support training on Goulds products for customers engineers.
  • Take the lead on major projects, develop summary and support mega projects via conference calls and meetings.
  • Maintain files and data on sales history, account history, and pumps serial numbers.
  • Maintain reports for active projects and opportunities and support monthly reporting process and EQL update in a timely manner.
  • Attend all possible training as provided by the Company.
  • Conduct regular and extensive customer sales calls.
