Director, Business Development - Canada West

Mining/Minerals & Industry We deliver mines, mineral processing plants and associated infrastructure across some of the world's richest resource regions including Australia, New Zealand, the Americas, Asia and Africa. We provide mining support and infrastructure for surface minerals projects, including ports, heavy rail, haul roads, airfields, camp facilities, buildings, power and water supply services.

Responsibilities:

• Generates new business and ensures growth of existing accounts.
• Assesses potential application of company products or services and offers solutions that meet customer needs.
• Researches and presents reports showing potential customers the cost benefit of procuring company products or services.
• Provides technical training to clients and communicates customer feedback for future product developments.
• Uses technical knowledge of product offerings to support and build sales.
• Will help organize Business Development activities including external sales, preparation of key client account plans, manage client relationships, prepare proposals and negotiate commercial terms.

Qualifications:

• Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 15 years plus of experience in business development in Western Canada (west of Ontario) and Western USA mining markets.
• Must have excellent written communication skills complimented with good interpersonal skills.
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks.
• May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist.
• Will report to the Director of Minerals and Metals - Canada West Region.
• Position base is flexible anywhere in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba.
