Job Summary

Krupp Canada Inc. is a world leader in the design and supply of bulk materials handling systems. Its products include conveyor systems, in-pit crushing plants, rotary breakers, and continuous ship loaders. With the oil sands industry continually expanding in Northern Alberta, Krupp has concentrated on supplying oil producers with the necessary equipment for oil sands mining and processing. As part of a project team, this Mechanical Engineering is involved in the design, fabrication and erection of these bulk materials handling systems.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Interface with other engineers and designers from other disciplines
• Assists in the development of process design for a project
• Completes designs and calculations related to materials handling equipment
• Oversees the movements of documents through the document control system
• Creates AutoCAD drawings in conformance with Krupp Canada, industry practice and applicable code requirements
• Assists in the preparation of equipment technical requisitions, project schedules, estimates, and construction work packages
• Participates in Quality Assurance activities
• Develop and issue project reports and logs
• Interface with other disciplines and management to create change control documentation, estimates, and approvals.
• Maintain, control, and advise engineers from all disciplines on contract specifications and procedures
• Establishes and maintains relationships with key clients and vendors

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelors of Engineering degree and be eligible for APEGGA
• 3-5 years experience in Oil & Gas industry and/or with Materials Handling Equipment
• Experience with hydraulics and air systems would be an asset
• Proficiency with computers, specifically AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Good communication and teamwork skills are an asset
• Knowledge of project controls systems and methods

Work Conditions

• Work majority of time in office environment, with occasional fabrication shop and construction site visits required
