Instrumentation Engineer

Description:

Deliver instrumentation and control engineering services that meet WorleyParsons, the client and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Arrange and supervise design drafting staff/functions for the work undertaken for instrumentation and control projects;
  • Prepare instrumentation and control calculations in accordance with the relevant Canadian and International Standards;
  • Assist in sourcing new work and maintaining existing client base;
  • Prepare proposals and estimate of man hour budgets;
  • Manage instrumentation and control engineering scope in projects within budget and time constraints;
  • Prepare Scope of Work Documentation;
  • Prepare engineering reports;
  • Prepare instrumentation and control project specifications;
  • Manage and perform instrumentation and control engineering designs to ensure project goals are achieved;
  • Site travel as required by project.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience in instrumentation and control engineering with an emphasis on industrial, process and mining type structures experience;
  • B.Sc. in Electrical, Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering; P. Eng or eligibility is required;
  • Familiarity with Canadian Building Codes and instrumentation and control engineering practices;
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills;
  • Flexibility to travel and work on site when required.

Reporting and Location:

  • The position reports to the Manager, Electrical & Instrumentation
  • Opportunity exists in Mississauga, Ontario.
