Position Summary:
- Local role reporting to the Booster Shift Supervisor. Responsible for setting up canisters and pouring hot pentolite, and for the melt-down process of transferring melted TNT/Triton from the pre-melter to main pots.
Essential Functions:
- Add PETN to main pots per specific formulation, and monitor the process per Dyno Nobel operating specifications.
- Set up canisters and pour hot pentolite.
- Transfer melted explosive material from pre-melter to main pots.
- Load empty plastic or corrugated canisters onto pallets.
- Clean and pack finished product into boxes and canisters.
- Transport product safely under proper documentation.
- Other duties may be assigned within the capabilities of the successful candidate, as determined by management.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Manufacturing experience preferred. On-the-job training is provided.
- Technical: Successful candidate must qualify for Possessor of Explosives Certification from ATF.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
