- The Central Dispatch office handles all customer phone calls for 7 ready mix plants and dispatches 45 ready mix trucks in south central OH. This position handles 75 - 100 phone calls per day during our busy months and oversees the dispatching, scheduling and management of our ready mix drivers.
- Answers Central Dispatch phone in a prompt, courteous and professional manner
- Input customer orders
- Ensures customer understands company policies regarding orders and the drivers’ responsibilities
- Manages scheduling of orders to meet customer expectations and to balance the schedule efficiently
- Become familiar with various mixes and their appropriate application.
- Assist in dispatching orders and trucks
- Manage driver hours
- Determine most cost efficient plant to deliver the ready mix order
- Keep appropriate management personnel informed of issues that warrant their attention
- HS Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Solid computer skills
- Basic Math Skills
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of the ready mix business.
- 1-3 years ready mix or customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to work overtime as needed
