HR Project Manager - Minerals O&M

Detailed Description                

  • Responsible for overall HR support to new as well as established organizations at Minerals O&M sites. Supports the management teams with advice on HR best practices and leads organizational development initiatives and recruitment efforts.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensures quality and consistency of HR aspects in new projects:
  • Act as HR subject matter expert providing sparring to the Sales Manager in the proposal phase.
  • Conducts research on conditions that effects HR contractual issues, labor relations and Compensation and Benefits.
  • Supports the sales department in assessment of human resource needs and costs.
  • Responsible for sourcing, recruitment and mobilisation of key managers and specialists during the start up phase.
  • Supports newly established organizations in implementation of HR systems and processes like performance management, compensation and benefit as well as leadership training.
  • Advices on organisational development issues and facilitates organizational reviews.
  • Facilitates customization of policies, procedures and tools to local needs and conditions.
  • Facilitates roll out of global initiatives (EES, yearly salary regulations, compliance reviews, etc.).

Job Requirements                   

  • Tertiary degree in human resource management, business administration or related field (or combination of experience and education)
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in human resources at HR Business Partner level or similar. Broad knowledge of HR trends and tools and experience working with the entire HR palette. Intercultural skills.
  • Self-starter who is results oriented.
  • Open-minded and flexible with good intercultural skills.
  • Solid organising and project management skills.
  • Ability to conceptualise and implement new and innovative systems and processes.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Cooperative and team oriented
  • Computer competent: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Willing to travel and stay for periods in countries with entirely different working methods.
