Material Processor
Position Summary:
- Second Shift Position - Perform assigned duties with minimal direction. Confer with Assembly/Pack/Ship Lead, Supervisor, and/or Operations Manager as necessary to successfully complete tasks. Responsible for accuracy and quality of own work. Adhere to all safety and quality requirements. May be required to work in other areas based on production needs.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for all inter operation material transfers.
- Operate fork truck, hand truck, or high lift to physically move/transfer materials/parts between production cells, departments, or work centers.
- Complete all Cincom transactions to transfer material/parts on Cincom system.
- Setup and operate buffer, washer, sweco and lapping machines.
- Responsible for ensuring accurate material counts for all work in process (WIP) components and finished parts in the FLR 104 area (Assembly storeroom/racks).
- Troubleshoot and correct Cincom system problems and material transfer errors.
- Maintain control of the finished component stores by processing in-coming parts, storing parts in the proper location, and adhering to all procedures for maintaining accurate count and location data.
- Stage and issue parts for assembly jobs and restock any unused parts returned by assembly.
- Physically transfer material from the conveyor, shop floor, or outside vendors to the assembly stores shelves and/or other designated areas.
- Verify count integrity thru random audits of parts entering the area from operations and by performing periodic cycle counts.
- Frequently lift baskets, boxes, components, bearings, etc. weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Responsible for the quality of own work and verifying the accuracy of material/part counts and locations.
- Required to maintain housekeeping of machines and work area and to do other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor, Cell Leader and Operations Manager.
- Adhere to all Standard Work Instructions
- Meet all production standards.
