Detailed Description
- Responsible for answering all incoming telephone calls; directing calls to the appropriate department and individual. Interface with vendors, customers, visitors, job applicants, and employees.
Responsibilities:
- Operate phone system equipment in an efficient and pleasant manner.
- Understand the organization and procedures relating to individual departments.
- Maintain and administer current security and badge access system.
- Welcome all visitors and notify individuals whom they wish to see. Direct visitors to the proper areas.
- Assist with clerical support as time and space permit, including assembling manuals, stapling, and punching.
- Administer cell phones.
- Administer seating chart and new hire on-boarding.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Experience working on a high-volume phone console with 30-35 telephone calls per hour. Ability to answer all calls within 2-3 rings and direct calls to the proper department and individual in a professional manner. Courteously handle calls from individuals who may be curt or discourteous.
- Ability to interface with vendors, customers, job applicants, and all levels of division and corporate personnel.
- Knowledge of organization, and procedures relating to individual departments to forward calls efficiently.
- Computer experience and knowledge of company-standard software is helpful.
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
