- Empire Southwest is a third-generation family owned Caterpillar dealership founded in 1950. Empire sells, rents and services machinery and power generation equipment to clients in the construction, mining and agriculture industries in Arizona, Southeast California and Northern Mexico. Empire’s Marketing Department is looking for a part-time team member to assist with copy writing, online media and internet marketing strategies to increase the company’s online visibility.
Job Summary:
- This is an exciting internship opportunity within the fast-growing industry of online marketing. The desired student applicant must be highly organized, enthusiastic, motivated, demonstrate initiative and be able to work independently with instruction. The position includes writing and editing of material, research for various types of projects, link building and other tasks as needed. This is an opportunity to be part of a busy, professional team that manages a constant flow of activities and works together to meet common goals.
Essential Functions:
- Writing , reviewing, editing, and formatting of articles or other written material
- Online research for contests and other special projects
- Online Link building
- Review of blog posts and article submissions
- Database and report work
- Internet work which may include posting articles and setting up blog opportunities
- Social media marketing and community management
- Others tasks as assigned
Knowledge Skills And Abilities:
- Must be able to perform the job duties needed.
- Must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Good communications and presentation skills.
- Ability to work with various personalities.
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies and use of all required safety equipment.
- Must have acceptable attendance to meet all company standards and requirements.
Education And Experience:
- Junior or Senior in college
- Enthusiasm for marketing and the Web industry and technologies
- Must have a good command of grammar, spelling and punctuation
