Description:
- We are seeking a detail oriented, well organized, dependable person with excellent interpersonal skills to join our Sediment and Waterfront Group team. Position requires strict adherence to health and safety procedures, attention to detail, good work ethic, and a passion for high quality workmanship.
Duties may include handling tasks such as:
- Participation in all aspects of environmental consulting involving sediment site investigation/evaluation; feasibility studies; remediation implementation and oversight; collection of soil, sediment and surfacewater samples, installation and/or processing of sediment cores and sediment/soil characterization.
- Preparation of sampling and analysis plans, field investigation reports, and data management, compilation, manipulation, and evaluation.
- Contacting regulatory agencies and subcontractors/vendors to coordinate field activities and obtain project-related information.
Basic and Required Qualifications:
- Minimum years of experience: 0-3
- Education required: Bachelor degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related science
- Skills required: Microsoft Word and Excel, Powerpoint
- Proven interest in investigation and sediment remediation
- Willingness to perform field work
- Available for business travel for extended periods
Additional and Preferred Qualifications:
- Education preferred: Master degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or Related Science
- Registrations/Certifications preferred: Engineer-in-training, 40-hr HAZWOPER
- Years’ experience preferred: 3-5
- Skills preferred: Previous consulting experience, good technical writing skills
- This position does require travel. Travel amount is 0 - 25%.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
- This position does not manage others.
