Environmental Engineer

• [Company] is seeking an Civil or Environmental Engineer to support a growing base of projects in our Millersville, MD office. This is an entry to junior level opportunity for a dynamic individual looking for career growth in environmental consulting. Engineering Responsibilities work may will include providing engineering support for the design and installation of environmental remediation systems including geotechnical and stormwater design; performing earthwork grading designs; providing oversight of groundwater, sediment, and soil remediation construction projects.
• Responsibilities may also preparation of workplans and reports for include site characterizations (geotechnical and environmental), and feasibility studies, remedial design, and construction implementation. site characterization, remedial design, geotechnical and stormwater design; earthwork grading design, and feasibility studies. Fieldwork may include soil and groundwater collection, operation and maintenance activities for remediation systems, soil gas surveys, groundwater well installation, and Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments. In addition to engineering, office work may include data compilation, report writing, and regulatory file review.
• Position responsibilities may also include, but are not limited to use of design software such as AutoCAD, Geoslope SLOPE/W, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, and TR-55. Excellent writing skills required.

Basic and Required Qualifications:

• Minimum years of experience: 0-1
• Education required: BS degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Skills required: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, excellent oral and written communication skills.

Additional and Preferred Qualifications:

• Education preferred: BS degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Registrations/Certifications preferred: OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER
• Years’ experience preferred: 0-1
• This position does require travel. Travel amount is negligible.
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
