Principal Construction Manager PM/CM
Description:
- The PMCM (Program Management / Construction Management) Division of ARCADIS is currently searching for an experienced Senior Project Manager for Port projects in Los Angeles County and San Diego County.
- The qualified candidate will have experience with project management, project controls, project scheduling, claims mitigation and resolution, cost estimating, electrical infrastructure, and quality control.
- The qualified candidate will also have experience with construction projects involving marine backlands and wharves.
- We need a Construction/Project Manager that is experienced in construction, contracts administration, materials, and claims review and analysis; and who has the ability to work with client supplied inspectors.
- This Construction/Project Manager will have the sole responsibility to deliver this project in the construction and post construction phases. The manager will have complete accountability of project costs, schedule, and quality of construction. Responsibilities will also involve serving as a primary point of contact for the contractor and the agency owner.
- The manager will provide oversight of construction, overview of submittals and RFIs, determine the constructability of design changes, and authorize progress payments. Provide change order analysis and develop feasible alternatives to minimize project delays. Write weekly reports and verbally report the project status to the agency client.

Basic and Required Qualifications:
- Minimum years of experience: Ten years of experience working on port (sea, ground, and/or intermodal) projects.
- Skills required: Experience as the Construction/Project Manager for at least two port (sea, ground, and/or intermodal) projects in excess of $10M.
Additional and Preferred Qualifications:
- Education preferred: Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Skills preferred: Proficiency with P6
- This position does requires travel. Travel amount is negligible.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
- This position does manage others.
