National Procurement Manager

As a leading manufacturer of a diverse range of mineral processing equipment and mining related consumable products, this organisation is seeking to appoint an energetic and proactive National Procurement Manager. We are seeking individuals with energy and transferable industry skills to lead a team of dedicated procurement specialists and purchasing officers, to enable the business to deliver quality products on time. 

We are seeking candidates with exposure to the selection and retention of suppliers in China/Asia, with well developed strategic negotiation skills, covering supplier manufacturing capability, quality, price competitiveness and ongoing delivery capacity. Previous experience within a continuous improvement and ERP environment will be highly regarded. 

Required skills and attributes: 

• Sound procurement background within a complex engineering/or fabrication environment to ISO 9001 standards
• Supply chain risk management and contracts renewal experience in developing sustainable supply agreements
• Proven experience in leading and developing a small to medium procurement team
• Tertiary or formal supply chain qualifications with an understanding of legislative safety process and policies
