An experienced Commercial Manager with a strong background in construction or civil construction is required to work for a Top Tier Contractor in QLD. With a proven track record of working within a high pressured environment, working on large scale projects with values exceeding $100m, you will be looking to further your career with a reputable organization.  
  
With a number of large civil projects on the books and being tendered for, there is now a requirement to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager to join the Commercial Team in QLD, most likely on a FIFO basis (from Brisbane).  
  
The successful Commercial Manager will be responsible for:  

• Providing contractual and financial advice to Project Managers with particular emphasis on progress claims and variations 
• Ensure all records and documentation are complete and up to date 
• Lead negotiation of contract terms and conditions 
• Help develop and maintain key relationships with clients 
• Review and approve major contract/subcontract, procurement packages, variations and contractual claims 
• Prepare commercial reports 
• Ensure all clients requirements have been met from a commercial perspective  

The ideal candidate will come from a construction or civil construction background working on projects from concept through to delivery. You will be degree educated or hold an equivalent tertiary qualification and have held a commercial management position in the past. You will likely have a minimum of 8 years experience.
