As a result, we are in currently searching for an experienced  Operations Readiness Manager to ensure a smooth transition from construction into operations to enable a safe, smooth and rapid ramp up to full production for a major Queensland mining port terminal project. 

Additionally, you will also be responsible for ensuring compliance to the health & safety plan; support management in the establishment of the new operational systems, processes and culture; working closely with Commissioning Manager to develop a project hand over plan; and liaise with the EPCM contractor to ensure accurate and effective documentation hand over.

As the successful candidate, it is ESSENTIAL that you have the following experience:-

• You will be tertiary qualified in engineering or an equivalent discipline 
• Exposure to coal terminal projects 
• Previous experience working in a new project start-up environment.   
• Superior communication skills 
• Competent manager and a strong relationship builder who has proven abilities in working alongside site based employees to achieve results.  
• Fantastic report writing skills and computer skills
