Our client is looking looking for an aspiring leader for their QLD Geology/Geotechnical team. This is a career opportunity where you get to be in control of the future destiny of the team locally and, in the future, nationally or internationally. They are keen to build their geotechnical team within Australia and this role will be integral in doing so. 

The purpose of this role is to contribute to their business goals by providing technical expertise in specialist areas of geotechnical and engineering geology. You will be act as the team leader to ensure that project outcomes are met. There will be opportunities for you to use your negotiation skills in identifying opportunities and developing business in line with the corporate strategies, however there are clients in place. The role is not just a BD role though. It's an opportunity for you to shape a business plan which allows you to delegate, manage and build something genuinely special. 
 
First and foremost you will be a technically sound engineer. This is essential for their clients so this is a must.  A good understanding of geotechnical assessments and design with a qualification of RPEQ will be an advantage.
