Ongoing contract rate $120-$135 P/Hr Plus Bonus

You will be joining a company that has shown outstanding growth which is set to continue. This organisation has more than $7B in projects currently in hand with more been negotiated. The project portfolio is for a client known to all in Australia not just those in the industry. You will be compensated for the hours you work at a negotiable rate of $120-$135 P/Hour plus annual bonus.


What you will be doing:  
  • In this highly growth oriented role you will be charged with,
  • Leading management of project Cost resources as well as,
  • Responsible for all assigned Costing activities on the Project (including but not limited to budgets, manning plans, invoicing, timesheet administration, personnel approval)
  • Provides technical and operational direction to Costing personnel
  • Develops and execute objectives, standards and procedures applicable to cost control and analysis activities
  • Responsible for the preparing and defining the Cost Accounts in consultation with the Project Team
  • Supervises personnel and preparation of the collection, accurate interpretation and diligent incorporation and presentation of Costing data from the Project Team and into the EPCM systems (including but not limited to CMS, Replicon, EMS).
  • Identification and management of obstacles in receiving / processing required project data
  • Prepare all project cost forecast and progress reports
  • Review draft sub-consultant and construction contracts for adequacy of costing requirements.
  • Administer costing requirements in line with sub-consultants and construction contractors' contracts and project procedures (including but not limited to Progress reporting, Forecasts, Progress Payment Certificates (PPC), productivity performance and claims review).
  • Responsible for identification and / or preparation, presentation and incorporation of project trends and Changes to Project Scope of Work.

This global EPCM is a major force in the mining space in Australia and since 2008 has doubled in size while their competition has contracted. Based in Perth and offices in, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Adelaide this large consultancy has been chosen as the preferred EPC for more than $12B in works over the next five years by their global client.


To apply for this role you must have:
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering or related field
  • Previous experience in a Cost Control position with at least 1 year in a senior or lead role
  • Direct exposure and experience on projects in heavy industry including Mining, Rail, Oil and Gas
  • Strong leadership & management skills to get the most out of your team
  • You will be highly regarded if you also have:
  • 10+ years experience in a senior or lead cost control position
  • 2+ years experience in general engineering/construction
