Resource Mining Analyst

Co is a mining-focused private equity firm which has its principal office in Denver, Colorado and additional offices in Perth, Australia, New York, Toronto and London.
 
Fundamental to RCF’s investment strategy is an emphasis on careful technical and financial evaluation of a project.  RCF has assembled a management team of mining industry / investment professionals who provide a strong and diverse base from which to assess investment opportunities.
 
RCF is building the next generation of investment professionals in the firm. It is seeking high-potential candidates that can deliver value and progress in the organisation.
 
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Degree in a mining or commercial or legal discipline. Post-graduate degree a plus.
2. Up to 8 years mining industry experience working in mining operations, and/or as a resource focussed broking  analyst, corporate advisor, or banker
3. Self assured, confident, strong initiative, work ethic, willing to travel (20 to 40%)
4. Well developed communication skills, courage and capability to deal with difficult conversations at senior levels
5. International travel and experience of living in different cultures would be a plus, as would additional language skills.
 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

The Analyst will be responsible for:
 
·         Researching, analysing data and performing due diligence in evaluating potential mining property investments and specialty commodity markets.

·         Cash flow analysis of potential mining property investments based on ore reserve data and production estimates.

·         Analysis and communication of the full spectrum of risks and potential for mining operations.

·         Making recommendations regarding investment in mining properties.
