An incredible career opportunity has become available as a Project Manager of Automation and Control projects for a leading global engineering organisation within the mining and water and waste water sectors. With a major focus of energy efficiency, safety and the environment they are well known in the industry for high quality, innovative automation and control solutions.
Role:
Based in Brisbane you will be responsible for managing multiple automation and control projects from upgrades to green field sites across the mining and water and waste water sector. This role involves the financial management and control of the project budget, managing project schedule and personnel, and the successful regulation of clients, contractors and suppliers according to the agreed contract.
To be considered for this role you must have:
- An Electrical Engineering Degree or an Electrical Trade background with strong experience with automation and control systems
- PMP or similar project management accreditation desirable but not essential
- Experience as a project manager within the electrical sector on projects ranging up to $10 Million
- Ability to deliver and lead multiple projects on time and under budget
- Strong technical understanding of electrical engineering principles especially in relation to control systems
- Experience working with control and automation products and systems
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong business acumen and budgeting skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong customer service and client liaising skills
