Project Support Engineer
We are expanding our team to meet the current and future demand within the mining sector and so are seeking a number of Mechanical Project Support Engineers to provide technical, commercial and scheduling support to the Project Managers.
Our business unit delivers bulk materials handling solutions to the Mining Industry in the form of stockyard and port machines such as Stackers, Reclaimers and Shiploaders.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Reporting to the Head of Project Support Services, your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
Using your exceptional communication skills to liaise with and assist in the co-ordination of our local and global project stakeholders to resolve technical and commercial issues.
Monitoring and reporting key project engineering design, fabrication and installation milestones and deliverables to the Project Manager to assist with project delivery.
Using your detailed knowledge of the project to track and report scope changes.
Preparation of comprehensive technical specifications for the procurement of mechanical components.
YOUR PROFILE
You will have a tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplineand a minimumof 3-5 years related experience in a similar role. Experience of hydraulic, lubrication and conveyor system design and/or installation would be a distinct advantage.
You will have excellent communication and analytical skills and possess a high level of initiative and determination to achieve goals and targets set for delivery of projects to the customer’s satisfaction. You will have a strong desire to assume responsibility and work with autonomy.
