Civil Senior Estimator

This contractor is consistently producing works of art and importantly to budget and deadlines. This has resulted in many key relationships been strengthened within Australia. My client is now in high demand in all its sectors and is constantly being awarded new projects.
 
I am looking for a senior estimator that has a proven track record within the industry. The client recruits highly talented people, with strong communication skills and provides  the successful applicants with a supportive and friendly environment that believes strongly in progressing their staff careers by providing on going training and support.
 
Responsibilities:

• Assist the operations team in the analysis and recommendation of construction methods and selection of suitable subcontractors;
• Identify, detail and cost specific risks and opportunities associated with tender submissions;
• Creating effective solutions
• Assistance in preparing Expressions of Interest and Budget Estimates for projects likely to proceed.
• Leading, training and development of staff within team.
• Conducting post tender negotiations
• Client liaison and requesting information from clients as required

Skills and Experience:

• Relevant Tertiary qualifications
• A minimum of 5+ years experience as a Estimator within the construction industry, preferably preparing estimates from first principles
• Ability to mentor and train junior estimators
• Relevant Estimating software experience
• Passionate about achieving the result both personal and team
• Highly self motivated
• Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal)
